A new danger to our beloved dogs was discovered, and yes it exists in your backyard. Veterinarians have found that one type of grass can be deadly to your dog, which is the foxtail grass; because the vets had received several cases where dogs were wounded by this kind of grass.
What makes this kind of grass particularly harmful is the seed awns, which are considered to be needles that help the seed go deeply into the ground. And you can imagine what would happen if your pet touches these needles by accident.
So how do you know if your dog was infected by this grass?, there are some symptoms that you need to be worried if your dog shows any of them, your dog may strongly shake his head, or pawing at the eyes, or the dog may suffer from bacterial infections.
Keep your dogs save, and always check them for any of the above symptoms, and if you notice something strange, take your dog immediately to the vet.
