5. Alaska
Alaska Dogs were wild wolves and were domesticated by the Malamute tribe. The Alaska dog is closely related to the Husky and Samoyed breed. The closest ancestor is the legendary polar wolf.

The first time you see an Alaska dog, you may be impressed by its large physique, the mighty body and the very characteristic of wild wolves.
A purebred American Alaska dog (AKC) must have a mean height of 58.5cm (female) or 68.5cm (male), with an average weight of 34-45kg for female, and 38 - 55kg for male. The body looks balanced in harmony in height, weight, but looks a bit rough and not as sophisticated as the Husky dog.
Standard Alaska is a muscular breed, hidden deep under the fur so it is difficult to see. Very large bones, large legs and tendons (for heavy towing). The middle of the leg is folded to the elbows, while the Husky dog's (Alaska's closest relative), is smaller and straight. The coat is the most attractive feature of this breed. Alaska fur is thick but soft and glossy. The color of the Alaskan dog is varied. For two-color Alaskan dogs, the colors usually fade from high to low and white in the abdomen and chest area.
